1. MOTHER OF MARLIN
The story begins as Stephanie Meares, a young novelist, arrives in
Marlin and moves into an idyllic cottage overlooking the sea. She is
seeking a fresh start, turning her back on her life in London in search
of a place of peace and solitude in which to write her second book. But
she is unprepared for what she finds there.
Soon after her arrival in
the charming Cornish coastal village, Stephanie is troubled by
disturbing events and unnerving visions. She finds herself swept into a
world of mystery and dark magic, facing horrifying forces who seek
ancient vengeance. She soon finds out that nothing in Marlin is as it
first appears, and that her life until now was based on an intricate web
of lies.
Forced into a journey of surprising self-discovery, she must
also battle her own demons if she is to survive. She seeks help from her
oldest friend, and together they begin a battle for Marlin which
transcends even death itself. Life will never be quite the same again.
